Cappadocia1Three Beauties

“I visited the famous Three Beauties, one of Cappadocia’s most iconic fairy chimneys.

Located right next to the parking area, this well-maintained tourist spot is very easy to access. The surrounding area features several souvenir shops, allowing you to enjoy a pleasant stroll in a classic sightseeing atmosphere.

Standing directly before you are three chimney-shaped rock formations of varying heights and shapes. As a symbol of the unique Cappadocian landscape, it is an incredibly popular spot for photography.

These fairy chimneys were formed over millions of years as wind and rain eroded soft volcanic tuff. The harder rocks resting on top acted as caps, protecting the pillars underneath from erosion and creating their distinctive mushroom-like appearance.

The viewpoint is free to visit and offers a quintessential glimpse of Cappadocia even on a short visit. The colors of the rock face shift beautifully with the light, becoming particularly striking under the soft glow of the morning and evening sun.”
