This is a description of the return journey to the hotel after watching the sunrise at Uçhisar Castle in Cappadocia. Walking this route made the wayfinding easier and the distance feel shorter. The video begins from the castle’s exit.
At the beginning of the video, stray dogs were already near the exit, and I tried to be careful not to provoke them as I started my way back. However, a stray dog tapped the base of the monopod I was using for filming with its paw and wouldn’t leave. If it had been a pet, it might have seemed cute, but since it was a stray dog, I was anxious about being bitten and felt very tense until it finally went away.
Since there are few people in the early morning, it seems stray dogs are sometimes seen in this area, so I recommend being mindful of your surroundings when visiting.
Despite the incident, the view of Cappadocia from the top of the castle was beautiful, and the cave-like structure and passages inside were impressive, making it a worthwhile place to visit. Please take safety precautions and enjoy the unique scenery and atmosphere of this region.
